48 HRS.---remake underway of the 1982 comedy movie that starred Eddie Murphy and Nick Nolte. Ben and Joshua Safdie (DADDY LONGLEGS) will direct the remake.
THE ELECTRIC STATE---Russo Brothers movie underway based on the graphic novel with Andy Muschietti (IT) in negotiations to direct. The graphic novel is described as, “In late 1997, a runaway teenager and her yellow toy robot travel west through a strange USA, where the ruins of gigantic battle drones litter the countryside heaped together with the discarded trash of a high tech consumerist society in decline. As their car approaches the edge of the continent, the world outside the window seems to be unraveling ever faster as if somewhere beyond the horizon, the hollow core of civilization has finally caved in.”
THE SILENCE---Stanley Tucci and Miranda Otto star in this horror movie based on the novel about a family trying to survive an invasion of blind, subterranean creatures who threaten to destroy mankind.
KILL OR BE KILLED---Chad Stahelski (JOHN WICK) will direct this movie based on the comic book.
FRONTIER---Netflix renewed the series for Season 3.
CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM---HBO renewed the series for Season 10.
SEX SCANDALS---five more women have made sexual accusations against Dustin Hoffman.
Cori Thomas said Hoffman exposed himself to her in 1980 when she was 16 years-old and was a friend of Hoffman's daughter. Hoffman supposedly said, "I'm naked. Do you want to see?" She added, "He came out of the bathroom with a towel at first wrapped around him, which he dropped. He was standing there naked. I think I almost collapsed, actually. It was the first time I had ever seen a naked man. I was mortified. I didn't know what to do. And he milked it. He milked the fact that he was naked. He stood there. He took his time."
Melissa Kester claimed Hoffman sexually assaulted her during a recording session for ISHTAR, "[Hoffman] literally just stuck his fingers down my pants. He put his fingers inside me. And the thing I feel most bad about is I didn't know what to do. I just stood there. I just froze in the situation like 'Oh my god, what is happening?' It's shocking when that happens to you."
She said he kept his fingers inside her for 15-20 seconds. "He kind of laughed. Then I just ran out of there, and I sat in the bathroom crying. I thought, 'Oh my God.' I felt like I'd been raped. There was no warning. I didn't know he would do that."
An anonymous actress who was also in ISHTAR, said she was in a car with Hoffman when he, "just took his hand and stuck his fingers right up inside of [her]. I didn't know what to do. He's smiling at me. I was frozen. I was outside of my body." She said Hoffman then paid her $20 for oral sex and intercourse. When asked if the later sex was consensual, she replied, “I don’t know”.
A fourth woman said Hoffman took her home to see the new puppy he bought for his daughter, discovered there was no puppy and that Hoffman then masturbated in front of her.
A fifth woman said Hoffman took her home and demanded oral sex.
Also, ABC fired THE CHEW's celebrity chef Mario Batali after four women accused him of sexual harassment.
Morgan Spurlock left the production company he co-founded after he admitted he has been accused of rape and sexual misconduct.
PBS suspended talk show Tavis Smiley after charges of sexual misconduct were made against him.
MARLON BRANDO---untilted Brando biomovie underway based on the memoir THE WAY IT'S NEVER BEEN DONE BEFORE.
GET CHRISTIE LOVE---Kylie Bunbury (PITCH) stars in the ABC pilot remake of the 1974 ABC cop series. The remake has Bunbury as a black female CIA agent who heads a special ops team.
SOLDIERS OF FORTUNE---Olivier Martinez stars in this tv series about a high-tech magnate who hires a black ops specialist to protect his company from corrupt businessmen, corrupt government officials and organized crime.
THE IT CROWD---NBC is developing a remake of the UK sitcom about a group of tech support specialists.

Give Dustin a break. We all know he is a fanatic about method acting (MARATHON MAN). I am sure he was doing his typically thorough 'research ' for a role.

Yes, Dustin is a method actor who does his research. When contemplating playing TOOTSIE, he dressed as a woman and went into restaurants to see if he could pass as a female. Too bad he didn't stop by and visit Harvey Weinstein when dressed up.
