I hate snow, but I must admit that it's pretty as it falls.
We were ONLY supposed to get about a half-inch, but we already have over 5 inches, and it's not even close to being through.
So, who here is getting snow from this current storm on the east coast? How much have you received thus far?

Just a couple of inches in the last day, but given where I'm at, that's sure to increase exponentially.

Between four and six inches tomorrow into Sunday.

Right now, it's thankfully snow-free here in the city of Oslo, but we've had plenty of snow already and will get some more soon. I live in Norway, after all. We probably have more snow and longer winters than most of the other countries represented on this board.

I am in NW England (I don't know where you gents are) and we are getting lots of it. Lots of it for the UK, that is. Blizzard atm.

Nothing 50 or so miles east of you so far, although some higher parts of land within a 15 mile radius got some yesterday. We’re off to Harewood House tonight for a dinner organised by one of the sons of the current (8th) Earl of Harewood. That’ll be chilly as it involves a pop up restaurant and mooching around the grounds to see where all the food was grown or foraged.

But from humble beginnings. That’s what 40 years of hard work can do smile

... can ... being the operative word. As someone looking at retirement after (almost) 40 years of (not quite, but certainly often tedious) hard work, the closest I get to that is when we visit one of the NT/EH places. And my better half is now looking at the HH website ...

As for snow: lots and lots of it this morning ... hopefully we won't need to go anyway today. I hope it thaws by Tuesday ...

Still no snow here but the lightest of dustings last night at Harewood. Wasn’t worth the money, by the way. Won’t be doing that again.

Sorry to read that; we had neighbours round for dinner ... can't understand how four of us consumed nearly 3.5 bottles of wine + a couple of Perroni's ... but at least the snow hadn't started when they departed.

We should have done something like that instead... We certainly enjoyed breaking bread with you that couple of times.

Now snowing, just lightly.

I woke up to lots of snow, just north west of London, it's snowing hard now. I phoned my mother who's in Dorset on the south east coast, & no snow there, just rain.

I need to go out in it soon as I've run out of milk, yippee!

Just the tiniest sprinkle, not settling much, just south of Barnsley.

4 ,.5 inches of snow in large chunk of essex.
Took me 4 n half hours to do a 45min journey.
Horrendous.
Three roads into my town were blocked.
And ive got a rearwheel drive auto - say no more!
The drivers in Wages of Fear had a calmer drive than i did!

Although I overheard somebody say we might get snow here (Bay county, FL), we didn't. And none is expected tonight.

We did, however, get some a few years ago. I made a video about it:

I hate it! Especially in the city, since I'm dependent on being able to bike around.
