Trailer link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=boEQuRWFKj0

STAR TREK---the Quentin Tarantino movie will be-R-rated. The movie's writers room includes Mark L. Smith (THE REVENANT), Lindsey Beer (GODZILLA VS KONG) and Drew Pearce (IRON MAN 3). Smith is considered to be the leader who will co-write the movie with Tarantino.

LETHAL WEAPON 5---director Richard Donner updated the status of the sequel, “As of right now, we are inches away from getting the go-ahead to doing the final five.”
He added, "It’s a story I came up with with Channing Gibson, the writer who wrote 4, and I’m just having to work it out with the studio. If everybody steps up and we all get together, we’ll make it. Mel and Danny are on board. If it doesn’t work out, at least we tried. But there’s a good chance that you’ll see the movie."
Donner criticized said the Blu-ray SUPERMAN: THE MOVIE extended version which is the tv version that is 45 minutes longer than the theatrical movie, "It’s terrible. That was an original assembly; it was nothing more than an assembly. And we cut most of the bad sh*t out. And in good taste, the producers decided… in those days if you sold a picture to television you sold it by length. The longer the film the more money they got."

The Terror. I first thought historical drama? After seeing the trailer I next thought . . . The Thing . . . with sailing ships.

Who cares about that? Tell us about all the hard work that went into the endless egregious product placement for Marlboro!

Star Trek - so I was right! Can someone please tell me what actually attracted these people to these old shows in the first place? First Doctor Who and now Star Trek. I mean, did they think "this is shit, what it needs is........"

Why do they think they were so popular originally? Does taking out half the audience equate with making it MORE popular??

Oh I am getting f*****g OLD!!!

The Terror is based on the Dan Simmons book that I've been meaning to read for a few years now, but never gotten round to yet (it's upstairs in me cupboard).
Probably won't end up bothering now, unless the series fails to 'cut the ice' (Ho Ho).

Well... Jar Jar was obnoxious, but not nearly as obnoxious as Tarantino. He has yet to be topped.

Ha, I had a big old hardback of that for years, I never did get around to reading it (& it's gone now with a huge pile of other stuff in my last big clear-out), so looking forward to the TV series.

Lethal Weapon was an excellent movie, the sequels started to decline on scripts/quality! Pesci didn't fit Lethal Weapons they were over comical which ruined the franchise. Good-luck to LW-5, I have no interest.

Star Trek needs Tarantino like Star Wars needs Jar Jar.

"Tarantino is the key to all this because he's a better director than we've had before." big grin

I don't know which one I prefer, one or two (I'm looking at two tonight), three & four are good action films, in fact they look like masterpieces compared to a lot of todays stuff, I also have no interest in LW5.

2 was ok, SA drug cartel , but the cast & script were a little weak, the ending scenes are probably its best moments, at the dock, boarding the ship, taking over it.

Yes, Simmons wrote "The Terror." It was a scary book.

Would have been scarier if it were Richard Simmons who wrote it.
