Elmer is a legend in film music, westerns, at 77 years old he wrote Wild Wild West he does continue to impress me on writing nice themes. The main theme is a little similar to Newman's How the West was Won & showcases a powerful brass section & graceful strings, the second part of main title bursts into Lalo style, funk-jazz, bluesy rhythm. There is a substantial amount of action music present, trains, tanks, frayed ropes which is trademark Bernstein lots of snare drums & driving string rhythms, altogether an outstanding effort by Bernstein.
