Thanks for your continued generosity Adam. Please put me in for Close Encounters.

Of all the films directed by Steven Spielberg, I must say that Schindler's List impacted me the most. The story line so touchingly and honestly presented by Spielberg along with the achingly beautiful score of John Williams have impacted me forever.

1) E.T. or Jurassic Park

2) Jaws is my favourite Spielberg film. I saw it back in 1976 when I was just ten years old and it scared me witless. Every time I have watched it since I am taken back to that dark moody cinema and all of us gasping and jumping at the thrills and scares.

Thankyou!

Thanks again for running this contest Adam B.

1) Close Encounters of the Third Kind 2CD Set
2) JAWS - as a child I watched it over and over again on a VHS copy I had taped off TV. I was obsessed with sharks as a young boy and would often re-watch the shark scenes over and over again.

(1) AI - Artificial Intelligence
(2) Raiders of the Ark (1981), which is as close to a perfect film that Spielberg ever made., with every element in perfect place from the acting, the script, the cinematography, the editing, and of course the music by John Williams.

1) A.I. Artificial Intelligence
2) Raiders of the Lost Ark - it's the one Spielberg movie that I never tire of watching and made a huge impression on me when I saw it at the age of 7 back in '81.

Thanks for the generous giveaway, Adam!

(1) Well thanks for the generous offer! I'll put myself in the running for each of the 4 titles, seeing as I'm way behind on film score purchases.

(2) Raiders of the Lost Ark. Childhood memories of watching that with my folks (and them covering my eyes at certain parts!) solidifies it as my favorite Speilberg production. Plus it's a dang fine adventure film with iconic music.

It's really nice of you, Adam, thank you!

1. A.I. - Artificial Intelligence
2. I'll go with Raiders of the Lost Ark. This movie is the embodiment of fun and adventure with a fantastic cast and score. It also sparked my interest in reading the Bible. smile

One or both of the following:

• ET The Extra-Terrestrial 2CD Set
• Jurassic Park/The Lost World 4CD Set

I don't know if I'll have an address to ship it to, since I don't have a home (it's a complicated story). If I can't and I win, I may have to pull out and let somebody else get 'em.

For me, I have to "Jurassic Park". It may have it's flaws, but there's simply never been a dinosaur film like it before or after. Even though the film established a new ground on how to handle dinosaurs (thankfully eliminating stop animation, Claymation and suits), it was never really done as well again in the sequels. Sure the second film has it's moments (and an equally awesome score), but where it's at is the first film. It all holds up. When the T-Rex breaks the cables and makes its way out -- still as awesome as it was when I saw it in the theater.

It's like "Jaws" in that regards. First film: awesome. Second film: meh. Third film: crap (well, "Jaws 3-D" edges it out). Fourth film: wannabe shit.

Thanks for doing this!

1. I'd like to be in the running for three titles - A.I./Close Encounters of the Third Kind/Jurassic Park
2. Raiders of the Lost Ark is my favorite Spielberg film, it is the greatest adventure film of all time with brilliant staging and cinematography. Also the score of course!

Hello, thank you very much for this tradition of yours; read it each year, never participated

Close encounters of the third kind

Schindler's List. Great to see that very rich men (like Oskar Schindler) can be touched by human disgrace and not turn their heads back as one might expect. Deeply moving picture

What a generous offer. please put me down for Close Encounters of the Third Kind 2cd set.

Favourite film has to be Close Encounters, it was the first film my future wife took me to see, and I have never found a film so involving. The scene when the Mother Ship arrives is one of the greatest jaw dropping scenes of all time.
It's a tremendous film with an unforgettable soundtrack, is there anyone who came out of the cinema who wasn't humming the five tones?

1.) Please enter me for all titles...

2.) I would have to say Jaws. It’s funny it’s such a simple movie and made with lesssr actors, a lesser director, a lesser composer and lesser effects— it probably wouldn’t have been that good. Lucky for us that wasn’t the case. I literally can rewatch it every time and be just as engaged into it as Iwas for the first viewing.

This is so generous, thank you so much!

2. My favourite Spielberg picture is Raiders of the lost ark, this is an exhilarating adventure, i saw the movie about 11 times at cinema, because of John Willliams score. The opening peru scenes , the desert chase etc, just magic !!!

1. Close Encounters

2. Raiders of the Lost Ark... This film blew me away when it first came out. The only film that I saw through two consecutive sittings!

Thank you for your generous offer.

A very generous offer.

1 - Please put me down for AI: Artificial Intelligence.

2 - After no little thought, I’m going to say Jaws. I went to see it with my parents when it first came out, and there was a sense, even then, that the game had changed. All the others really flowed from that.

Thank you for your generosity.

1.) I would like to be put down for Close Encounters.

2.) My favorite Steven Spielberg film is Saving Private Ryan. I don't know why this movie moved me so emotionally, but it did, even more than Schindler's list. Jaws is also a fvorite, which I think is perhaps one of the greatest adventure films ever made, along with Raiders. Close Encounters also holds a special place in my heart.
