When I moved from New York I landed in Waco Texas. down the road from
Baylor University. The Apartment I moved to started out as over 50 only apartment.
Well as luck would have it, they could not rent all of the apartments, so they opened up the building for everyone.
Thanks to Freddy's needs and the dog park. I started meeting some of the Baylor students.
Among them were some graduate students. I engaged them about their studies, I would talk to them about my video's and the composers that inspired me.
I must say, I learned a lot about their field of study and the hard work that went into those studies.
They all put up with my babble, they were happy to give a peek at there field of study.
A couple of months ago a Gentlemen moved into the complex who was becoming a concert pianist.
I took the opportunity to talk about the composers of film scores. I coved in my disconnected talk
and broken thoughts, All the greats, I made him two thumb drives of music.such was my passion to teach people about these composers before they fade from the world of music.
I have a whole range of composer from Korngold to Glass.
When I got a chance to talk with him after I had given him the drives.
He seemed drawn to Korngold and ask his Professor about him. He told me that the professor had indeed heard about him and mention his other works outside of film.
This warmed this old heart of mine.
that's my story.

Good story. You're an evangelist DB.

It's hard to pull people from their self-identity with certain genres. You sound like the Gandalf of the block. Or the Obi-Wan.
