I've narrowed down my top 20 favorite Lost cues. I wasn't planning on doing so, but I was suggesting five to someone, threw in a few alternates, easily made a Top 10, then wanted to see what my Top 20 would look like. I want to see what your Top 20 Lost tracks would look like too!
If you want to do a Top 50, or top 100, or top 5, or top 3, I don't care. I'm starting off with Top 20 and guiding the thread into that territory, but I'm letting it go off-leash.
(yikes...just realized not one cue from Season 5)
In countdown fashion...and yes really, #20 really is "The Final Countdown"...

The part between 1:20-1:50 (especially), holy celestial bodies... what a delightful sonic experience.
Under the Knife SS Lost-tanic - I love the interplay between Flocke's themes and those for Our Heroes, plus of course the Life and Death reprise at the end. Sundown Ji Yeon Hurley's Handouts Flying High Locke of the Island Ocean's Apart Jacob's Advocate Dharma vs Lostaways The Lighthouse - Jacob's theme in its most powerful setting. Closure Moving On Parting Words Life and Death Locke'd Out Again - It's sad that this Locke theme was used so sparingly compared to the others. Make Like a Tree
Get Out of Jail Free Card - The culmination of Sideways Desmond's theme. Utter genius. I loved this track so much that when I was editing my lost suites I structured one disc around as many appearances of the theme as I could find, ending with this.
Dharmacide - Transforming a menacing snarl into a fully fleshed-out theme became one of Giacchino's stock tricks as the show went on (see also Mother of Sorrows), but this is the first one I noticed and it stuck with me.
The Constant - What is there left to say about Desmond & Penny's love theme? It's just amazingly beautiful.
Favorite cue of the series by far is Hurley's Handouts. Was absolutely mind blowing to go to that Lost: We Have To Go Back concert a couple years ago out here in LA. The outside venue, for some reason it was very windy and kind of spooky so it really added to the night's spooky music. And it was incredible to hear them play that cue live. Such a good night.
