YES!!! HELL YES!! I hope they get a few of the score tracks from the first picture in particular on this, but the songs alone merit a purchase. Yeah, I thought it was a straight-up reissue of the original albums.

I swear, for the last year or so every album reissue I've wished for on FSM has been released by Varese. This is one of my straight-to-CD grails. Totally fine without added score (though I wouldn't have said no to it), but having the LP reissued is incredible. My next wish, Varese, is: THE PIRATE MOVIE. I'm sure it doesn't have the same draw as Jerry Reed (SMOKEY) or Harry Nilsson (POPEYE), but hey, it's Gilbert & Sullivan revamped. Who doesn't want that. Never. Released. On. CD! In the meantime, December 1st cannot come fast enough! Thanks, Varese and Peter!

Awww, no Part III? Man, I loved the songs in the movie. Hell, I loved that train wreck of a film. Still, nice to see this series get some love. What great fun they all were.

Awww, no Part III? Man, I loved the songs in the movie. Hell, I loved that train wreck of a film. But no one else did, and that's part of the problem (it went straight to video in the UK). Well, if we only saw album releases of music from films that did well, our libraries would be a lot thinner. There are some great songs on the Smokey III LP.

Yes! Hope they clean up the artwork though - surprisingly poor.

My Dad gave me the LP of the first album when I was a kid, but it was just in a plain card sleeve. The shop probably lost the cover and put it on sale! Listened to it a lot when I was little, but not for over three decades. May get this just for the nostalgia! And released on my birthday too!

Yes! Hope they clean up the artwork though - surprisingly poor. I'm hoping it's temporary. Not only is the original artwork cut off on all sides but there is a yellowing to much of the white area on this. I suspect this is temporary. I hope the part 1 artwork is on the front and the part 2 is the flipper of the booklet. They could always just put a sticker on this that says it's the anniversary and that part 2 is included - much preferred over the border. That said, I'll be a happy little bandit no matter how the cover art is, as long as the sound is excellent.

Save the better art for a deluxe edition.

Save the better art for a deluxe edition. Not a release for which I can see a deluxe edition coming. Not that I'd be at all against it.
