THEY WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON: FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 24TH 2017 (historically at 12:00 AM PST) THEY WILL GO UP FOR SALE ON: TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 28TH 2017 at 12:00 PM PST Just spent the weekend with 7 cds worth of product we plan on announcing for BLACK FRIDAY and that's just HALF of what we have penciled in for our big release date this year! HORN TOOTING ALERT: We may have outdone ourselves this year with this slate. Now we play the approval waiting game as to what makes it and what gets released in 2018! Start saving them dollah's 'cus this batch is gonna make ya hollah!
https://www.facebook.com/lalalandrecords/posts/10155939087978755 After Oct 20, there will be nothing released until November 28, 2017. We have decided to catch our breath, do some software updating, in house organizing and get our ducks in a row before our final release batch of the year -- our "BLACK FRIDAY" releases. As of today, I'm happy to announce that 4 of the 6 planned titles we have been working on have been officially approved and are being manufactured. (I think this may be a first!) We have a very diverse and pretty cool cross section of scores planned for release this year.

I always laugh at this being the "Black Friday" releases. "Black Friday" around here is where store mark down merchandise for people to by to give to other people. LLL releases titles that I would be buying for myself, because I do not know anyone that I would be willing to buy these titles for or share the same interest in score as I do. So....

I always laugh at this being the "Black Friday" releases. "Black Friday" around here is where store mark down merchandise for people to by to give to other people. LLL releases titles that I would be buying for myself, because I do not know anyone that I would be willing to buy these titles for or share the same interest in score as I do. So.... Well, for starters I seriously question how many of the people on Black Friday are trampling over their fellow shoppers and bludgeoning them with barbed-wire wrapped baseball bats just to get to that 75% off big screen plasma to give to someone else as opposed to themselves.... Secondly, no, LLL's Black Friday announcement just happens to fall on Black Friday as a fun, holiday-oriented post-turkey gorging announcement. The titles don't even go on sale then. Of course you are as welcome to laugh at whatever you like as you are to view Hans Zimmer-scored films with closed captions on and the sound fully muted. No one's going to tell you how to get the most out of your life.

I'm not usually one for guessing titles without clues, but Close Encounters seems like it could be a possible Black Friday title.

Wish List and Predictions, here we go: Wish List: The Mummy (Jerry Goldsmith) - One of my most wanted complete scores. Just amazing score. The Mummy Returns (Alan Silvestri) - Fantastic sequel score. Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (Michael Kamen) - Excellent score that deserves an expansion Apollo 13 (James Horner) - Stirring, heartfelt score. Sneakers (James Horner) - So much fun. Great sax. A Perfect Storm (James Horner) - An emotional powerhouse that leaves you exhausted. Willow (James Horner) - A fun, lyrical score. Full of epic adventure. Battle Beyond The Stars (James Horner) - A score better than the orchestra that performed it. Jurassic Park III (Don Davis) - A good score that suffers under the shadow of it's iconic predecessors. The Matrix (Don Davis) - If Varese could only let go of their rights so LLLR can complete the trilogy. Raiders of the Lost Ark (John Williams) - Speaks for itself. Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (John Williams) - Speaks for itself. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (John Williams) - Speaks for itself. Jurassic World (Michael Giacchino) - Fun score in the Jurassic Park canon. The Star Wars Saga (John Williams) - This needs the Michael Matessino TLA. Predictions: Deep Space 9 - vol. 2 (Various) - More greatness from the show. Voyager - vol. 2 (Various) - There is a lot more excellent music to be released. Close Encounters of the Third Kind (John Williams) - We know it's coming at some point, and I know it'll be amazing, and the best it can possibly be in MM's hands. Whatever happens, I know I'm going to be buying something.

My Most Holy Grail: Six Million Dollar Man: two CD soundtrack set. Similar to the previous Wild, Wild West release, and including the "Sweet Jamie," ballad sung by Lee Majors. Episode scores from "The Bionic Woman," episodes and "The Secret of Bigfoot" hopefully and other themes be included. Scrooge (1970) musical. A great many fans have been hoping for it. The soundtrack, not the Robert Picardo version, which is beautiful in its own right. The Hobbit/Return of the King scores from the Rankin Bass versions, with extensive linear notes reproduced from the boxed Hobbit LP set. A Best of Dominic Frontier set with themes from Search, other tv themes he wrote, and some unreleased scores that haven't been heard in awhile. Something from Hanna Barbara or animated series I can't think of right now. Maybe a collection of themes or cues that have never been released at all. I'm dreaming. Aren't I? --jthree
