After I've read Doug's comments, it'll be surely TERRORVISION and LADY IN WHITE (plus goodie).

Ah, so the first clue is now most definitely "TerrorVision" but - being pretty familiar with the film - I still can't imagine what the 'plethora of extras' are. Maybe alternates and more dropped cues? [as I noted above, the LP included a finale cue that was dropped from the film] Looking forward to finding out. It's a quirky, fun score to an odd, funky film.

And "Lady in White" is a beautiful score. Looking forward to having that out there again, too.

It definitely sounds like LADY IN WHITE to me - the score was orchestrated by one of Bernstein's regulars, David Spear, as I recall - as was the director/composer's previous film. Curious to hear what these "extras" are. Piano sketches? Synth mock-ups the composer made for projects that never came to fruition?

I always thought this was a very lovely thematic score but very "light" and, in context, often so comically-inclined that it actually diffused the tension and made the film very corny... i.e. the snippets of chanting latin choir early on as a nun is seen walking onscreen. That one was a real eye-roller... On its own though, yes, VERY Bernstein-like and enjoyable music of a wistful, small-town Americana-sounding variety.

Roger said "non film music work" which doesn't at all imply a "synth mock up" or a "piano sketch".

P S Y C H O III is LONG overdue!

My initial thought when I started reading the clue (mid 80s and prevouously on LP but never on CD). But then I read "from an Intrada regular" and it was clear it would not be Psycho III - I think Intrada have never released a score by Carter Burwell.

I hope a complete Psycho III is released soon by Intrada or LLL. It is among by top grails at the moment and I just watched the great Blu Ray from Shout Factory and the score has a lot of music not included in the LP (that includes more source music - also composed by Burwell - than score).

On the probable releases Richard Band is a bit hit and miss for me, like some of his scores a lot but not most of his synth scores.

Never had Lady in White and very happy with its rerelease.
