O.K., I'll play along. Let the guesses begin! But keep in mind there's a twist. A twist? I'll guess Martini. So Henry, did the owner show up before you invested $ in vet fees? Was it chipped? Just curious/nosey. I assume the original owner is going to reclaim it or already has. I live in a rural area and none of my three cats are original, they all are "drop-offs" or "showups". And they're perfectly happy living outdoors. Of course the rule of thumb is "You feed it, you own it" - as much as anyone can own a cat. Sadly, having strays show up or having been dropped off (by someone whom didn't want them) can be expensive when you have to get them checked out, "fixed", etc. I'll never forget young "Hudson", a male that showed up a couple of years ago. Gorgeous white/gray tabby, loving and talkative, hence his name. Only had him a couple of weeks. I'd say "Talk to me, Hudson!" and he would meow every time. We have nearly 40 acres of forest behind my house, but he decides to cross the road to visit the neighbors and was struck and killed by a car. Broke my heart and he was the first cat I wept over.

It's funny, we were going to the vet on Monday and the owner called on Sunday night. So we got lucky not investing any money, but I really wanted to keep him. Yes, Maggie was a neutered male named Rodney.

Weird -- I would never have somebody else take care of a cat because the cat is having issues. If I had to leave town or was in the hospital or otherwise in dispose, I'd ask somebody I trust to take care of it.

Hey guys guess what! Rodney's owner is having some problems and wants me to foster Rodney! So I have him back for awhile. Almost 2 weeks. Is Rodney still on loan to your movie studio, Henry? Or has he signed with you now?

I need a Rodney update. I can't stand the suspense.
