So, has anyone asked the central question: Is this music actual original soundtrack cues, or are they by and large electronic (read: cheap) re-creations "inspired" by music from the series? DMD or anyone in a position to know, can you answer that question? After listening to the samples, I am deeply concerned that it is in fact the latter. It didn't sound like anything I remember, and I've been "hanging out" with this series for a long time now...
I think they're the actual cues from the show. I didn't realize there was so many synth elements, but I guess I was wrong. Either way, personally I think they sound great. The West Wing was one of my favorite shows and I've been looking forward to this release for a long time!
Well, I'm glad for that at least. I hope the CDs as a whole will "feel" like the music I remember from the series, although as long as it's the real stuff you won't hear any complaints from me, regardless.
Has anyone worked out a which episode each track comes from? Some are obvious (ie the ones named after episodes), but many aren't, and it's been a while since I watched the series.

Ah, Glenn, I just made the connection when I saw your name just now! I didn't realize it when you posted re: Fringe. Very cool though that you're into Tilton's music for that show!
