Whoa, that's a surprise! I love the Swedish film (featuring a superb score by Norwegian composer Gaute Storaas, btw), but it's very "Nordic" in sentiment. Would be curious to see how they transcribe that to US culture.

American attempt at Nordic acclimatization without recourse to CGI?

I saw it streaming and very much liked it. Didn't love it, as it was a little thin and TV sitcomish, but it was good.

I loved the book A Man Called Ove. I'd like to see the Swedish movie. Hanks is a good choice for that part.

Look, I never liked Princess leia's cinnamon buns, but these hair styles are getting more and more garish.

They're based on Lucas' breakfast junk food preferences. He's into crullers these days.

Anyone else initially think she's standing on a pogo stick?

Clearly it's simple a hairstyle that's easy to manage on a remote island with no power for her hairdryer.

The whole aesthetic of Star Wars is garish. Just the look of Darth Vader says, "Weren't those Nazis stylish?" And the whole thing comes out of a garish decade.

Nah, not at all. Love the art design in Star Wars for the most part.
