I just wish it had been bigger. That's a small model, compared to ones from Trek series.

I was recently stunned (and then it was "Of course!") when I learned that INTERSTELLAR used physical models. And I really liked the look of those spaceship fx. The models they used were huge, btw.

Supposed to have moved to Thursday's now, so it'll be on tomorrow night (after "Gotham", as I read). EDIT: It is.

Major plot hole With the guy behind this show, I'd expect a character named Major Asshole, but it's a network show, so forget it. Even though I vowed not to bother watching this beyond the pilot, I did switch over to it at 8PM Sunday -- and the football game was still on! Since I had to record both the Vietnam documentary on PBS, and then THE DEUCE on HBO at 9, I had to give up on THE ORVILLE -- and I don't think I missed anything. Anyway, we should have a thread dedicated to THE DEUCE, which has already been renewed by HBO for a second season. That's the show everyone here should be watching -- oh, yeah! -- instead of this stupid ORVILLE Fig Newton of a show.

We've watched the first episode and really enjoyed it. We liked that they aren't trying to make EVERY single line a joke. Comedy is knowing when and where to push a joke and I think there was a great amount, not too many not too little. Hope this continues for years and years

A much better episode. Didn't like the "humor" they mis-used Norm MacDonald for.

Seth said in an interviews before the pilot aired, that trailer was pretty much most of the jokes and that the show was more serious than that.
