Yeah, I went back yesterday to give it a fresh listen after quite some time and my sentiment hasn't changed much. First 1:30 of the main titles is fantastic... Then that electric guitar lick comes in... And it's all down hill from there for me.
Granted, the whole thing works perfectly in the (in my opinion freaking hilarious) movie... But yea, this just isn't my cup of tea as far as a listening experience goes. I went back and listened to BEASTMASTER 2, LAWNMOWER MAN 2, NEVERENDING STORY 2, that amazingly heroic finale music from TREMORS and his gorgeous neo-classical work on THE PLANETS (from an early 80's doc).
Now if only someone will release his thematic orchestral horror scores to THE SLAYER and SAVAGE HARVEST!
