THE COMMUTER---trailer released for the movie starring Liam Neeson. Also, Neeson said he's retiring from action movies, "They’re still throwing serious money at me to do that stuff. I’m like: ‘Guy’s I’m sixty-f–king-five.’ Audiences are eventually going to go: ‘Come on.'”

AVENGERS 4---photo released shows Paul Bettany as Vision.
IT---director Andy Muschietti wants Jessica Chastain to play Beverly Marsh in the sequel, “Jessi is an amazing actress and very good friend and I would love her to play Beverly.” But, he continued, it’s too early to make that call.
She loves the movie and it feels like the planets are aligned in that sense, but we still have to make that happen. There are a lot of ideas for the rest of the cast that I’m playing with, but it’s a bit too premature to say those names right now.”
STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS---Billie Lourd, Carrie Fisher's daughter, said she auditioned for the role of Rey, “J.J. Abrams called me to come in for STAR WARS because he couldn’t find someone for the lead. He ended up finding Daisy Ridley, who’s an incredible actress — so talented! But I went in and he ended up giving me this tiny role with a couple lines.”
ROBOTECH---Sony Pictures movie underway based on the anime. Jason Fuchs (WONDER WOMAN) will write the script.
PRIMAL---Nicolas Cage stars in this movie as a big game hunter returning from the Amazon on a freighter with deadly animals he captured including a rare white jaguar. A political assassin, who is being extradited to the US, escapes and frees the animals which leads to chaos on the ship.
THE ORVILLE---the premiere drew an impressive 7.3 million viewers.
VIKINGS---History renewed the series for Season 6.
LAST WEEK TONIGHT WITH JOHN OLIVER---HBO renewed the series for Season 3.
RIDE WITH NORMAN REEDUS---AMC renewed the series for Season 3.
JOHN DeLOREAN---untitled documentary underway about the automaker with Alec Baldwin playing DeLorean in scripted scenes.

That is the woman to play Beverly 30 years later...

Yeah, still waiting for that Starblazers, Akira, and Battle Angel Alita film to come out...
I'm with you on a Hollywood production of Starblazers, with last I read Christopher McQuarrie was picked to direct it( and if so, hopefully a Joe Kramer score).
Not sure if it's in the pipeline, is there a script being written, etc or just a pipedream...
Didn't know Battle Angle Alita was finally in production. The rest have been announced, and rumored about for (seems like) 15 years and nothing ever materializes. Honestly, I love the live action version of Space Battleship Yamato, I don't think an American version will be much to my liking.
