Morricone

This is unheard of in my back yard or the entire world, for that matter. We are again playing music Morricone himself never plays or has ever been played in his concerts. On top of that this will be an entirely new show with different music than last time which also had music never or seldom played. If you are near or in LA Sept. 4 simply e-mail me at HStanny@aol.com for an invite. We are also flabbergasted at the caliber of talent who have come forward to participate. At the top, legendary composer Gerald Fried, who wanted to come perform, but due to some health issues, cannot, will perform “Gabriel’s Oboe” on video and do a Skype Q & A. Flautist Sara Andon, violinist Nathalie Bonin and cellist Circe Diaz Gamero have taken a break from performing in front of thousands in some of the world’s greatest orchestras, to play in our back yard. And the likes of Bruce Kimmel, Richard Allen, Tom Griep, Robert Yacko and Maegan McConnell have come off their busy schedules to do the same. And, there is a trumpeter (of course, Morricone's own instrument!) that has been added. I have a feeling these world class performers are coming together due to the beauty and challenge of Morricone’s music. At 5pm we’ll be serving a light dinner from LA’s primo Italian restaurant, Masa. Then at 6pm, Gerald Fried will join us remotely, and finally, at 7pm, the concert will begin! Whether you live in LA, or are coming for Fans of Film Music, or John Williams at the Hollywood Bowl, we hope you can join us for this unique performance on Labor Day! This special event is absolutely free to everyone, but if there are some generous souls out there, we would welcome contributions to offset the cost of the evening’s performers. You can contribute via PayPal by choosing "Contribute" after you RSVP on this invitation, or you can contribute the day of the event.

I so wish sometimes that West Yorkshire were just a little nearer California. Or that all these events weren't in September, the one month in my working year that anything extracurricular is well-nigh impossible. thats funny tg coz i was thinking its a shame essex isnt a tad nearer henry's house too. The performances and the evening was phenomenal last time, and the level of work henry put in. Getting mr fried is a real coup. I wish you all a top evening henry and i hope you will share it with us afterwards.

Don't give EVERYTHING away! Surprise is good. If any LA denizens aren't planning to come to this you're a little dopey. This is Henry's most extravagant event yet - piano, trumpet, flute, violin, and cello, Robert Yacko and Maegan McConnell doing the vocal honors, and li'l ol' me hosting and yakking.
