In a rare departure for this board in wishing a happy birthday to someone who is actually still alive, fond wishes are crossing the ocean towards somewhere in Florida to Jim Phelps, a man of many parts. Cultured, knowledgable, personable and sophisticated - these are just a few of his aims big grin. Keep going pal - almost there!

I prefer when he parts his hair to the left, but there's something to be said for the middle-part as well. A happy birthday all the same.

There are no birthdays in the post-Vietnam, post-Watergate urban American landscape. Unless Peter Falk, Ben Gazzara, and John Cassavetes are invited. wink

Happy Birthday! I hope there is a Mai-Kai excursion on the horizon!

Aw, thanks guys, but you should've posted this on the Non-Film Score side; I have fewer enemies there and besides that, I don't even know the ones who come here merely to request CD releases. wink

Thanks again for the birthday wishes. A fellow can see who is internet friends are by who posts their best wishes on his birthday thread.

The remainder of the board's silence speaks volumes, too--or maybe that's just the board being slooooow again. wink

Relating this to film music somewhat, I've been listening to Michael Small scores the past couple days. smile

A fellow can see who is internet friends are by who posts their best wishes on his birthday thread. Aaahhh, sorry I missed the day but I was too busy yesterday socialising with real-life friends to spend time browsing ...

... but, belated birthday wishes nonetheless! And, as I know we've corresponded over one or two topics I consider you a friend smile

I can't see me ever coming back to Florida so you'll have to visit the UK for that birthday drink. In the meantime ... enjoy your music.

Mitch

Despite you taking over for Daniel Briggs, whom I was a fan of, have a happy, happy birthday!

I actually thought this thread was going to be about Star Trek 2 TWOK. Peer pressure made me say something nice.

You like a haiku.

Happy birthday Jim! Hopefully your day was filled with plenty of sangria and great comic books.
