Sounds pretty great. Several tracks are giving me Elfman-vibes. Sounds like Beltrami incorporated some Hardanger fiddle to bring some Norwegian colour to the score.
I wouldn't mind unpleasant... the movie is rather boring actually... the trailers are FAR more effective than an actual movie... it is still worth watching but could have been much better...
I get a fair amount of Mimic vibes from this score, actually. I can't really pinpoint how or why, exactly. I think it might be the thematic writing. I think you guys might get the vibes too, if only slightly. There's nothing that really reaches the heights of "Reunited" from Mimic but "Barn Find" comes damn close and is an amazing finale cue.
Just so everyone's aware, the digital release was made availabe on Oct. 13, and the CD is available Oct. 20. Most people are probably aware of this, but even though you're able to purchase the score from iTunes as of yesterday, it still has a digital release date listed as 10/20.
