Also, Jane Goldman, who is teamed up with George RR Martin to write one of the four proposed prequel spinoff series, said it will be “recognizable as a past event” and will not use any current characters from the series.

STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI---new poster released for the sequel.

GODZILLA vs KONG---director Adam Wingard commented on the sequel, "The Godzilla/Kong fanbase is very different. They’re just really excited that anybody is taking this stuff seriously. They can smell a fake from a mile away, so if your enthusiasm isn’t real then they’ll eat you alive. As soon as you can prove that your intentions are true to the source material, that’s all that matters, specifically if you’re dealing with big monsters. You really have to take them seriously, almost as people."
He added, “It’s a massive monster brawl movie. There’s lots of monsters going crazy on each other, but at the end of the day I want there to be an emotional drive to it. I want you to be emotionally invested in them. I think that’s what’s going to make it cool…
I really want you to take those characters seriously. I want you to be emotionally invested, not just in the human characters, but actually in the monsters."

GLASS---synopsis released for M. Night Shyamalan's sequel to UNBROKEN and SPLIT:

"Following the conclusion of Split, Glass finds Dunn pursuing Crumb’s superhuman figure of The Beast in a series of escalating encounters, while the shadowy presence of Price emerges as an orchestrator who holds secrets critical to both men. This riveting culmination of his worldwide blockbusters will be produced by Shyamalan and Jason Blum."

JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK---Daniel Espinosa (LIFE, SAFE HOUSE) and Gerald Johnstone (HOUSEBOUND) are the leading candidates to direct the movie.

SON OF SHAFT---the sequel stars Jessie T. Usher (INDEPENDENCE DAY: RESURGENCE) as Shaft's estranged FBI agent son who teams up with his father to solve a crime. Richard Roundtree is in negotiations to return as Shaft. Samuel L. Jackson is in negotiations to return as Shaft's nephew.

GOTHAM---Marina Benedict (PRISON BREAK) will play Cherry, owner of The Narrows fight club.

THE FLASH---Katee Sackhoff will play villain Blacksmith in Season 4.

KNIGHT RIDER---David Hasselhoff said he spoke to Robert Rodriguez about a KNIGHT RIDER movie, “I have met Robert Rodriguez. He does DUSK TIL DAWN and MACHETE. And I said ‘You need to do KNIGHT RIDER.’ Because he was doing a marathon of KNIGHT RIDERs and he said ‘Can we have a selfie!?’ And I said, ‘No, I don’t want a selfie! I want to do the movie! I want to shoot the TV series! I want to bring it back and make it dark! Michael Knight comes back and he’s pissed.’ … I hope it happens, and if it does, it’ll be kind of like LOGAN. It will be dark. Hasselhoff as Michael Knight in 2017. KNIGHT RIDER The saga continues.” Earlier, Hasselhoff said he also spoke to James Gunn about the movie.

HANSEL AND GRETEL: WITCH HUNTERS---a tv series is underway based on the movie.

I think that might be asking a bit much. No matter how much money they spend on it, it's still a great big dopey (hopefully enjoyable) monster movie.

First, have a movie that actually has Godzilla in it. Second, make him look like Godzilla, not a mutated bear.

I must be drunk or something, because I would totally watch this if it happened....

Yeah, you just know when they talk like this they don't know what they're talking about. Poor Kong and Zilla.

It's totally radical awesome that (Not) The Last Jedi has David Naughton playing Han Solo!
