Romancing the Stone is so much fun, it's great to finally have the few extra cues (I've always loved the “Bus Ride” transition in the film).
Jack Nitzche's score for The Jewel of the Nile is okay, but I think a Silvestri score for the sequel would have been really cool — Joan and Jack's material from the first film further developed, but with a different overall flavor because of the new setting.
Eight days after Waterworld and Romancing the Stone was shipped my package is still in the Los Angeles area. Hopefully it will be sent to my country soon.
Not to alarm, but there is a Real problem with the postal service lately, and this from someone who has been "doing this" for years with no issues. Hopefully it's just the weather, and not some nefarious SPECTRE-TYPE conspiracy! -Sean

Ah! I'm very fond of that little cue too, I was a bit disappointed that it was missing on the Varèse Club album. Sound is excellent here on the LLL reissue, way more detailed. Some distorsion and hiss are more obvious now on the orchestral tracks. It was already noticeable on the Varèse album, but due to the improved sound it's more prominent here (especially during Struggling for the Stone). That said, Some of you may want to keep their Varèse copy because of The Gorge : it has different mixes during the first minute on the two albums. The LLL version features percussions absent (or at least totally burried) on the Varèse album.
Those who have this new Waxman - Hemingway's Adventures of a Young Man...is the sound quality noticeably improved over previous incarnations- LP, YouTube, CD, etc.? Definitely worth the upgrade?
