Even if it did (which is doubtful) most reviewers wouldn't be able to tell. Kino generally does not indicate the sound format on its Studio Classics line of discs.
That's too bad. I am not going to be very happy if I get a mono blu-ray version. I saw the film at a Cinerama theater in San Diego and the film had very aggressive surround sound. The visuals were so/so but they really wrapped the viewer up in the six channels of sound. Thanks for the info.
When you're talking about this movie.... I couldn't care less. Saw it when it first came out when I was a kid. Seen it on TV a couple times. I wouldn't put myself through another viewing of it. Not enough of a masochist.
Thanks Bob. That confirms my fears. I wish they would have held off until the 70MM material could have been unearthed. Now, if the roadshow version does show up, no label will see any market left for quite some time.
