I heard on the radio that today, July 21st, is National Junk Food Appreciation Day. In honor of this important day I'll nibble on at least two of my favorites.

  • Little Debbie Nutty Bars

  • Carolina Nut Company - Honey Roasted Chipotle Peanuts

  • Butterfinger candy bar

  • Blue Diamond Salt & Vinegar Almonds (my all-time favorite snack)

  • Chili-Cheese flavored Fritos

    What's on your menu today?

I largely abstain from junk food these days. Not for reasons of preachy live forever crap, but I simply have lost the taste for a lot of it, even my beloved cherry pie with vanilla ice cream and Drake Coffee Cakes. frown

However, I am more than slightly jealous that you have access to chili-cheese Fritos where you are; I've looked everywhere for them here.

It was the same here (mid-Maryland) for the longest time. Then my local Giant Food grocery store started stocking them. You can often get three 9oz. bags for $5. Just enough to last me a weekend. smile

Everyday is Junk Food Appreciation Day for me.

And so it is for the majority of the population! I eat very little "junk food". Though I do enjoy a box of Cheeze-It from time to time.

If I ever win--let alone participate in--one of your generous CD giveaways, be sure to throw in a bag for me.

If it makes you happy what you eat, meaning junk food every day then so be it.. some people it hurts, too others it has no affect.

    Pie mash & liquor
    Danish maple + pecan nut
    Coffee ice cream

There good foods but a little junkie, there ok once or twice a month

    Coming up -

    National Smoking Day
    National Drink Yourself Shitfaced Day
    National Heroin Injection Day
    Cut Yourself Thursday
Ruin Your Hearing With Gangsta Rap Thru Headphones Week

Some of these may be fine in moderation but are probably best not celebrated - and if they are, why? To make more money for face- and soul-less corporations.

By the way, it's Smug As F%ck Sunday in the UK today.

Raw and unprocessed food. I hate industrial food manufactured by crooked corporations to genocide the population in a soft way.
I'm now eating clean food between vegan and paleo.

Tell the junk food addicts to follow the Quaker or Amish way of eating for their stomach's sake!

Little Debbie Nutty Bars have morphed into Nutty Buddies. The nerve of these people!

Yeah, yeah, and the fluoride in the water is turning the friggin frogs gay. Stop listening to Alex Jones or whomever else has warped you.

A snack I have to get back into my guts is Newman's Own "Fig Newmans." They cost more than the better-known Fig Newtons, but taste SO much better.

It's fish fingers & baked beans today (covered with a lot of salad cream), but I don't think that's junk food, it's fish, & apparently baked beans count as one of your five a day veg, so healthy eating!

Blue Diamond Salt & Vinegar Almonds (my all-time favorite snack)

While I cannot yet vouch for the salt and binegar almonds, I am currently quite enamored with their Habanero BBQ almonds, which I just tried yesterday when a colleague at work decided they didn't like them, but I think they're delicious.
