LES AS DE LA JUNGLE (THE JUNGLE BUNCH)
Original Motion Picture Soundtrack
Music Composed by Olivier Cussac

8-page CD booklet with liner notes by Gérard Dastugue.
51 minutes of music, including 3 bonus tracks.

Ref: MBR-125
Release Date: July 24, 2017

In collaboration with TAT Productions, Music Box Records is pleased to present on CD the original motion picture soundtrack of the feature-length 3D animation Les As de la Jungle (The Jungle Bunch) composed and orchestrated by Olivier Cussac.

Les As de la Jungle (in French theaters in July 26, 2017), directed by David Alaux, is the latest spin-off from the hit children series about a gang of misfit animals on a mission to protect their fellow beasts. The film tells the story of Maurice, the Great Tiger Warrior, along with the Jungle Bunch, his team of righters of wrongs, who has been maintaining peace and order over the jungle for years until they come across their most dangerous opponent yet, Igor the koala whose sole aim in life is to annihilate the whole of the jungle.

In 2011, the film company asked Olivier Cussac, a newcomer to the French film music scene, to write the score to the animated made-for-TV film The Jungle Bunch to the rescue. The TV series won an International Emmy Award in Category Kids: Animation in 2014 and is aired in more than 200 territories.

For the feature film, Olivier Cussac provides an exciting and vigorous orchestral score with choir, offering a wide array of musical styles and genres: Hollywood style adventure music featuring exciting action music and melodic themes. The score refers to the best music written by Michael Giacchino, Lalo Schifrin and Michael Kamen with a nod to creators of many TV scores Mike Post and Pete Carpenter.

The lively score has been recorded by the Budapest Symphonic Orchestra and conducted by Laurent Petitgirard.

What charming music! The samples are very much worth a listen. And I'm enjoying the wide-ranging stylistic variety, including the Post/Carpenter stylings, which are fun.

I don't do too many blind buys these days, but I definitely have my eye on this one.

We are aware that no one seems to be familiar with this new French animated film. However, give a listen to this lively orchestral score composed by Olivier Cussac. It's worth it!

Great thematic stuff! It reminds us some great composers such as Vladimir Cosma, Lalo Schifrin, Michel Polnareff, Michael Giacchino....

Very proud to release this one on our record label.

It just does nothing for me. Forgot it after hearing it. Couldn't identify a theme.

I've had a listen to the samples, I was impressed, very much impressed with the orchestra music very well put together by Olivier.

I know next to nothing about animated films, but this is a score I'm going to purchase soon. Thank you Music Box well-done.

Music Box is a solid Label, I don't buy every release, but lately I like what I'm hearing from them. + some are limited to 300, so its no hanging around.
