The hipper among this esteemed community no doubt has at least one of Ken Nordine's Word Jazz (or related) albums in their respective collections.
While his first Word Jazz album was released in the late 1950s, I first became aware of Ken Nordine circa 1980 via his weekly Word Jazz NPR radio show. The affiliate where I lived played the show on either Friday or Saturday night - can't remember which - at 11 or 11:30 pm. I used to lie in bed and listen with headphones.
On the YouTubes, someone posted the audio of one of these NPR shows. I have wondered if they are archived anyplace.
Do any of you NPR types have any inside information?
Isn't anybody paying any attention? I posted a link to Mr. Nordine's website, where you can go and ask the man himself. (And where you can also link up to his Youtube videos.)

You're welcome again.
Maybe he meant Al Jardine?
Speaking of "you're welcome", you "owe" me a thank you for elevating your consciousness with my erudite posts regarding Soderbergh's THE LIMEY, which has one of the great quotes in all cinema, which, bringing this topic somewhat back on topic, would sound GREAT if recited by Ken Nordine.
