Good news for those for whom it's Silver Age or bust:

These appear to be 45rpm instead of 33 and 1/3 - is that usual nowadays?

I'm assuming that "Oliver Barrett" and "Barrett Oliver" are the same person...correct?

The complete Intrada cd is enough for me.. still.. its a very nice release & Gr8 presentation, well-done Mondo, good-luck on sales

This will sell out fast for sure. Apparently Mike Matessino also did a a new essay for this release and pointed out that it was particularly appreciated by John Williams.

Yes, Amer, and by us as well. I only wish Mondo's pressing agent (probably Masterdisk) was able to put some Blood Red in with the Ocean Blue vinyl.

No sell out yet on the two versions of this set. With all the news about the forthcoming Close Encounters of the Third Kind re-release, 4k, restoration or whatever the real news is, I hope its score also ends up getting this kind of treatment.

We can hope Mike Matessino is working those multitracks right now...or has already done so.

Honestly I prefer HQ Black vinyl and I wish there was going to be a Black vinyl option for JAWS (like Mondo did with Black Sunday). Colored vinyl is NEVER as quiet as Black vinyl and there's often “fusing” issues with multiple colors—particularly those half-&-half color discs like Planet of the Apes. I went through 3 sets of POTA Mondo LPs before I found a “satisfactory” set.

I only wish Mondo's pressing agent (probably Masterdisk) was able to put some Blood Red in with the Ocean Blue vinyl.

BTW, (a little inside info) Masterdisk is NOT a pressing facility. They do metalwork only—Masters, mothers & stampers. And Mondo uses GZ Media in the Czech Republic for complete LP production: Cutting (DMMs not lacquers), Metalwork and vinyl pressing.

I don't see where it's limited. They just say this is a pre-order for October delivery.

Thanks a bunch! smile Very, very happy I'll be able to get it in black vinyl! I only saw the linked LP and Poster article which only talked about "Colored Vinyl" and didn't look in the actual Product listing. Thanks again for the info, will definitely be buying this magnificent set.

BTW--The cover artwork on this Mondo set, I'll call it "Out to Sea," is really outstanding. For me it's up there with the "Planet of the Apes" back cover artwork (which I think would have been an outstanding cover for that set!)

I was watching a Perry Mason last night called The Case of the Ancient Romeo. It was season five so I'm guessing around 61. /about 19 minutes in there is the Jaws theme without the end. Curious as to what people think.
