This is a delightful release that makes me miss Poledouris all over again. "Prison for Children" is especially tuneful and enjoyable, a score I had no idea what to expect from. Keep these coming!

Also, the cover art is simple, yes, but the smiling face of Basil Poledouris on the cover makes me happy. I'd venture to say it makes me much happier than cover art based on the atrocious key art for these TV movies:

Fantastic! Will this be released digitally too?

Yes it will AT point in the future, we'll make sure to include a digital booklet as well.

Ford A. Thaxton

Hi Ford, I was wondering whether you have an update on when this title will be released digitally? Many thanks.

I remember taping these two scores directly off the telly onto cassette, when they were shown on UK TV, for me to get to know the music better and not have to endure the films ever again.
Two great little scores that still contain all those elements that made Basil Poledouris' music so unique and enjoyable.
I did have a period, a few years back, where I had pretty much stopped listening to my BP score albums.
I wondered had I grown out/away from his music/style. It was weird.
But I happened upon a score later on and the enjoyment just came flooding back.
Listening to this now, he really did have a wonderfully distinctive voice in film music.
And it's such a great two-fer.
Really obscure scores that we never could have believed would ever see a CD release, never mind together.
I hope this (and the other three volumes) sold well enough for BSX/DD to merit a 5th volume.

Question for Ford: I noticed that the 2nd, 3rd and 4th volumes are no longer available digitally. Will you be re-issuing them on digital at some point? I'm referring to iTunes, Spotify, etc. not your own digital store. Many thanks.

Agreed on the first one.
PRISON FOR CHILDREN isn't even movie poster/cover art!! It's just horrible.
But for SINGLE BARS...that artwork (depicting 4 desperates at a bar) is almost Drew like. I like it.

Yeah, any further additions to the BSX Poledouris Collection would be an instant purchase for me
