I believe there were some hints that Lala had Top Gun in the works but nothing concrete. Not sure about Fletch. Fletch is at the top of my list though! Translation: "My ego demands MAVERICK be in the title." LOL Sounds like a quasi remake just like Force Awakens and Jurassic World. It WILL be a quasi-remake if the original music is merely repeated from the original movie, for the sequel 30 plus years later. Kenny Loggins has already weighed in with HIS plans for DANGER ZONE, which sounds fraught with peril, if anyone remembers Fall Out Boys version of the GHOSTBUSTERS song. Iconic as DANGER ZONE and TOP GUN ANTHEM are, it would be a better idea to write a NEW song and a NEW instrumental, to go with this NEW movie. Wasn't talk of a sequel and/or TV show one of the delays for Beverly Hill Cop? WHICH Beverly Hills Cop Movie? If you refer to that horrid BHC3 "movie" from 1994, it should never had been done.
