Mind-blowing news! Harold is back!

Don't be so excited yet! He's saying "we'll gonna have the same SCORE back". Even if he mentions Faltermeyer's name, that doesn't mean the same composer is returning for sure, it could be just a re-work of his iconic themes by anybody else.

Harold is interested, no doubt about that. A couple of days ago he wrote on Facebook that "no one has called yet".

The director is rumored to be Joseph Kosinski, who has worked with Daft Punk, M83 and Joseph Trapanese on his other movies. I wouldn't be surprised to see a collaboration between Faltermeyer and one/some of those guys on Top Gun 2.

That has to be the most random name drop of faltermeyer in years and from tom cruise. Wow. Never would expect that. I hope its true. If they can let harold do an updated score with all the themes it will be great. If i remember correctly, tom cruise was actually there when faltermeyer showed the theme for the first time in the studio, so hes obviously knows faltermeyer was a big factor in the success of this movie. Music makes a big difference especially in this type of movie. Lets hope for some wild mighty wings tracks.

Lets hope he lets faltermeyer do it or at least be involved in it.

Fletch first. Then Top Gun. Race ya for it. Whoever wins gets to choose which gets released first. I want that dang Top Gun score and I'm willing to steal from my own mother if it takes that. Haha, j/k, j/k. I really do love Faltermeyer's work though I wish he would make a comeback.
