In other words -- the world doesn't revolve around you. Sorry. I know it doesn't, which is why I asked nicely, with no assumption that I was entitled to it. I just placed an order for three sale items (Star Trek Anniversary box, Magic, and Planet of the Apes TV) and I'll hope to pick up Wild Wild West and The Great Race at some point in the future. Yavar P.S. leagolfer, I don't understand your post at all. I wasn't asking LLL to "cut their throats" or somehow compete with Amazon on shipping. I know they can't do that and I don't expect them to! The interest was being able to have a little bit of overlap between their sale and their new releases, which wouldn't have cost them anything, except perhaps a hassle of extra order concentration. Financially speaking it would have cost them less to ship out one combined order than two separate orders, and some of those savings would have been passed along to me/us. Yavar, two other people besides yourself asked about combined shipping, so it's not like you were Superman trying to reverse the Earth's rotation. What LLL should do is limit a holiday sale to that day and maybe the next day. Letting a sale linger to the cusp of the next release date will predictably engender requests for combined shipping. And unless LLL is profiting from shipping, I dont see why it would be a problem. We pay the shipping either way, and obviously Leagolfer doesnt understand what we're talking about (it's combined shipping, not free shipping). Keep in mind too that LLL typically announces a new sale or bundle on release dates. Which they did here with the 60's TV sale. So in effect you'd be asking one sale to overlap with another.

Right -- it makes perfect sense for LLL to not extend the 70s sale when they're just starting a new 60s sale. I would note that the Mission: Impossible box set which overlaps both decades is still discounted to $75 -- everyone remotely interested should buy that NOW. I have lately been listening to my set again and it is just fantastic. Yavar

I think at that time the studio didn't have to pay fees for re-using music they owned. Somebody will likely come along to verify or correct that.

Wild Wild West is in the house. Orders are starting to be processed and shipped out. Oh, thank god! It's been a misery waiting for this - the first 45 years flew by (I didn't really get to know WWW until the 70's), but this last week has been murder! EDIT: Ooh and I just got my shipment notice! Just wish they didn't have to use Pony Express.

Don't get me wrong ... I love the new WWW CD set ... but I have a question. One cue I was hoping the set would include is embedded in an article on Markowitz and WWW music from this site: http://www.filmscoremonthly.com/daily/article.cfm/articleID/6325/ So I was pleased to see a section of Night of Jack O'Diamond cues on CD-4... but am I wrong that the cue on track 3 of CD 4 ... Jack O'Diamonds / To Catch a Horsethief ... is not the same cue as in the Film Score post ...? They sound similar ... but not quite the same; thus, the one on the Film Score post seems to be missing from the cues selected ...? It was such an iconic cue from the series. Again, though, fantastic set. Love the Shores cues. It might be a better idea to post this (and any other comments on the WWW set) in one of the dedicated WWW threads - as this is just a 'general' thread, I think there's a danger of it getting somewhat 'lost' here.
