CECIL B. DeMILLE : AMERICAN EPIC is a great score. Elmer left us with a beautiful composition. At 1000 copies , this should be a sellout for Tadlow in quick order.
Great to hear that Cody! I'm looking forward to getting my copy sometime next week...maybe!
I got this Elmer CD two days ago along with DUEL IN THE SUN.
I watched this 2 hour documentary on YouTube for free. Great film, the grand score by Elmer struck me right away. It's a wonderful score, sounds like it was composed in the 50s or 60s. The opening credits music is very impressive. A grand score to be sure, a must for all Bernstein Fans.
Thanks James so much for issuing this great music!

Don't forget to let us know when you get it, Niall. Your thoughts would be interesting.

We just got home an hour ago PFK, after spending almost a week in Co. Wexford and my CD was waiting for me! I'll be listening to it tonight and I should have Duel in The Sun next week. Papillon is ordered of course from Quartet!
While listening to my new Elmer Bernstein CD tonight, I have to thank you so much James for releasing this one, a mighty score full of great melodies. I love the way the terrific main theme is included throughout the score.
I did read carefully your notes in the booklet: very moving and respectful. Thanks for that too...
Congrats for the Suite from TTC you perfectly conducted: great job!
Great to have this on CD, Mr Bernstein's last-ever effort for film/TV. So many Elmerisms-for-documentaries that one cannot fail to be moved and impressed. Thanks to Tadlow for getting it done...
