YEARS ago, it was announced that a restoration of the 1929 Universal part-sound film of SHOW BOAT was underway. Whatever happened to that? It was supposed to include sections that were not in the incomplete version included in the laserdisc set of the 1929, 1936 and 1951 film versions of the story.
