Totally coincidentally, after bumping this yesterday, it seems that at this very moment they have just finished the first session and are having a lunch break!

Getting all sweatily excited already, and I'm too old to get "fan-boyish" about anything! However, I have GREAT memories of the music in "God Grant That She Lye Still", because it's one that I mistakenly watched before receiving Volume 1, in anticipation, thinking that it was on the first CD. But it was worth it. A great score from Goldsmith (some of it's in the "Hayfork and Billhook" vein), a fine reminder of just how good the old Bozza K series could be, and a damned scary episode title into the bargain!

The main reason I want a volume two is so I can have one THRILLER shelved with Goldsmithand one copy shelved with television soundtracks. Like i do with UNCLE.
Yeah, i am geeky about this.

Sorry about that - I just wanted to see if I could amend other people's posts. It was an experiment. I do so like "God Grante That She Lye Stille" as a title, with that spelling.

Just watched "The Weird Tailor". Scripted by Robert Bloch, but I didn't know that this existed before the Barry Morse/ Peter Cushing segment of the same story in Amicus' ASYLUM. Anyway, good creepy episode and an effective Goldsmith score, with Hebrew references as befits the characters... but more in the line of "Mr George" in some delicately-scored melodic moments (the tailor treats his wife so badly that she imagines the dummy - the "tailor's" - as her ideal man). Looking mucho forwardo to this whenever it comes out on the Tad.

Maybe someone could start a "Thriller Volume 2" anticipation thread. There's still a lot to be heard from people about Vol. 1, which I was re-listening to today. Those old thoughts could go on this thread.

"Late Date"???!!! Isn't that the one that's got nervous angular longhair jangly semi-jazz leanings? The one that we were told we weren't getting?

ADDED A FEW MINUTES LATER
-----------------------------------
Actually, ma heid's so fu' o' mince n' tatties that I'm probably getting ancient history mixed up with recent history. All I recall is that the esteemed, eccentric and somewhat deadpan Mr O'Birri asked about twenty times if there would be any "nervous angular longhair" music included, to which the reply was "No". But he was probably talking about Vol. 1.

so volume 2 already in the works .....with more of the same

Will there be any nervous angular longhair jazz on volume two, like the music JG wrote for "The Twilight Zone" (TV show) and "City of Fear?"

LATE DATE has what you are looking for.
You can enjoy it by listening to the m & e track on the dvd.

Maybe it will be on volume 2.

James has has a short clip up on FB of the recording of "The Bride Who Died Twice", with prominent guitar work foreshadowing - as he says - HOUR OF THE GUN. Sounds great.

I'm not really into starting "anticipation" threads, but I might make an exception here in order to separate Volume 1 from the upcoming Vol 2.

A simple, logic and low cost basic idea for this vol 2 ?
