Can anyone help identify the temp track in this cue from the end of last week's episode:

The theme recurs from 1:15 to the end.

I know it's from a major score for a feature or TV series in the last couple of years, and it's driving me crazy.

For some reason I feel like the piece that has such a similar tune is a Hans Zimmer score, and for some reason I also feel like it's from something set in Latin America. This cue is for a scene with a character from Mexico on the show.

Long shot, but perhaps Zimmer's House of the Spirits?

Starting around 8:02 of this cue:

Much obliged. smile Sadly it isn't either of those two. It's definitely something recent.

Maybe "Adagio in D Minor" from Sunshine by John Murphy?

Sounds like it was tracked from Mission Impossible 2. Or maybe Gladiator.

This is definitely naggingly familiar but I haven't been able to place it yet.

Also sounds a bit like a muted, slowed-down version of a passage from JNH's "The Great Eatlon" from Lady in the Water.

I feel like it's a guitar in whatever the original version is too. I keep thinking whatever was the temp track sounds REALLY similar to the final cue, but I just can't think of what it is.

It almost sounds like the overused "Iguazu" by Santaolalla, but I know that's not it.

Grateful for all the suggestions so far. smile
