Me, too. At a cinema complex just off the M8 motorway outside of Glasgow. And I thought it was an excellent film. The thing is, I was the only attendant at the showing of the film, the only viewer in the cinema. Paul Newman was great, but then near the end James Garner appeared - and he wasn't even listed on the film's poster outside (?) He was great too. Really nice, under-rated film. IMHO.

I was pleased to see that the film had an Elmer Bernstein score, which I did not know at the time.
Haven't seen Twilight since that day at the cinema and I liked the film, which was a solid effort though I'd probably like it more now. Hard to believe this is a nineteen-year-old movie now.
Getting back on track, I've always suggested good novels to my daughters. Then they asked me to read the TWILIGHT novels. I have NEVER forgiven them. Maybe I'll remove them from my will. The books were more horrid than the movies.
I haven't seen either the vampire saga Tall Guy was referring to in his original post, or the high quality film referred to starring Hackman, Newman, Sarandon and Garner. I'd like to check out the latter. The former, not so much....

Joan, feel free to replace the disinherited offspring with my details, which I'll email to you. I'm even happy to assume Power of Attorney to make decisions about your health if you need someone. Don't go thinking that the two things are linked, though...
