One of the biggest comedies of the 1990s is making a comeback. I hear an eight-episode limited series revival of the hit ABC blue-collar family comedy Roseanne is in the works with the key cast members reprising their roles, including Roseanne Barr, John Goodman and Sara Gilbert, with Laurie Metcalf and others in the process of joining them.

Didn't Dan Conner die of a heart attack? And the final season was all in Roseanne's imagination?

May Be A Spoiler Alert for the Revival:
On her website, Barr gave her detailed take on where each of the main characters from the show would be in a possible Roseanne revival: Roseanne and Jackie opening the first medical marijuana dispensary in Lanford; Dan reappearing alive after faking his death; DJ being published; Mark dying in Iraq; David leaving Darlene for a woman half his age; Darlene coming out, meeting a woman and having a baby with her; Becky working at Walmart; Arnie befriending the governor of Illinois and remarrying Nancy; Bev selling a painting for $10,000; Jerry and the grandsons forming a boy band; and Bonnie being arrested for selling crack.

Watched the show when it was popular and lost interest when it was jumping the shark with them winning the lottery, Dan's heart attack, etc. I am curious how they will do this revival. Personally I think John Goodman and Johnny Galecki are too "Big" for this now. But for John Goodman I will watch. Looking back now, it's amazing how Galecki is probably the most wealthy actor in the bunch now.

Hey, let's resurrect EVERY moderately popular late-80's/early 90's TV show! I can't wait for new seasons of Wings, Northern Exposure and Herman's Head!

Just like with remaking of old movies, thats the formula now for lack of creativity and vision anymore.

Technically, Roseanne's sister won the lottery, and they spent all of it to keep the plant alive, so they ended up broke again, plus (though unspoken on-screen), deeply in the hole from the things they bought before that, with the lotto money. And that was before taxes.
