Impractical for anyone of normal height smile but very lovely.

Fortunately, I am a completely normal person. Unlike your good self who is anything but!

Mind you, the insurance is so high on this I am now making effigies of insurance professionals out of blue tack and sticking them with pins. How are your knee caps feeling TG?

Don't blame me, pal - blame Ogden!

What i meant is driving a porsche is like nuffin else and you think its tame and suddenly ...vrooom ...the acceleration is so fierce its easy to spin it, so take it easy first few weeks till you used to it - especially coming out of roundabouts on 127 at tescos, cuckoo corner and fortune of war!!!

Thanks Bill, appreciate your advice. My current car is a JagXKR 5.0 Supercharged so I imagine the Porsche is similar to that in behaviour (albeit with a smaller engine than the Jag, the Porsche is considerably lighter). It took me quite a while to learn to drive the Jag sensibly having previously had an Audi A6 which would let you slam the throttle down and still keep things sensible.

Interesting you mention those roundabouts - sounds like you are very local to me!

Thats why i mentioned them. The jag is a growler engine - heavy body and straight line power with even delivery - but coz the porsche is lighter altho it does have phenomenal road holding grip as long as you dont apply that throttle too much too soon. Especially if greasy or wet - in seconds you will suddenly feel like the stunt driver on the latest bond film!
I drove my mates boxster and 911 softtop and both were scary if you didnt concentrate and respect.
For me it was like going from a plodding harley to a 185mph zx9 sports bike.
