Listening to a broadcast of Keith Lockhart & Boston Pops tonight (originally from a couple months back), and The Men Of The Yorktown sure sounds mighty good. Not positive, but sounds like a different (longer)? arrangement than the original. No doubt this will be on the Lockhart CD next month.....

It's not a new arrangement. Williams used to conduct this frequently with the Pops back in the 1980s, including the 1985 concert at which he debuted his tuba concerto.

Here's a link to the aforementioned broadcast (from May 26, 2016):

Wow, what a fantastic new arrangement. Really looking forward to the Lockhart cd.

Agreed, wonderful and very moving!

Iacoq, thank you for the tip, Henry, thanks for the link, can’t wait for the CD!
Jeff, thanks very much for the WGBH link allowing a listen, much appreciated!

As a side note, my family and I visit the USS Yorktown at Patriot's Point, Charleston, SC every few years, and even though I've seen it many times, I always find something new and wonderful and my admiration, appreciation and respect for the men who served on her grows all the more.

Edit: I meant to add that whenever I tour the Yorktown, "The Men Of The Yorktown" music plays in my head constantly as you might imagine.
