My hope is SETTE ORCHIDEE MACCHIATE DI ROSSO will be published soonish.
Apart from the Main Title, most of the music for SETTE ORCHIDEE had been recycled from OrtolaniĀ“s 1969 score COSI DOLCE...COSI PERVERSA. So if you have the COSI DOLCE CD, you already have those tracks and therefore a complete release of SETTE ORCHIDEE will certainly not happen.
I've also heard that sadly La morte negli occhi del gatto (1973) is lost. The film itself includes almost 20 minutes of music without much dialogues.
Despite the recent releases from 2014 onward, there are still many Ortolani LPs and 7" still unreleased on CD. I guess my favourites are the classics: Madron, Maya, and The Yellow Rolls-Royce, which are not rare and easy to find on LP, but are so good that a CD is certainly requested.
The whole series can be found on YouTube. Though the main theme is stunning, the rest of the score sounds to be rather suspenseful. Though I enjoy dark music, I just wonder if there's enough variety on the album like other romantic themes etc.
