I'm not a completist where film scores are concerned—I just buy what I like and what interests me—but I understand the joy and satisfaction that comes with completing and possessing a collection. So I feel your excitement, jenkwombat—persevere to the finish!
Thanks, Tango Urilla. I'm only a completist when it comes to John Williams and maybe one or two other things. (Williams wasn't even the composer on "Goodbye, Mr. Chips" --- he was the musical supervisor and conductor. But such is the completist mindset sometimes... )
Hey henry (and anyone else who cares), I got "Goodbye, Mr Chips"! So now, it's just "Amazing Stories" and "Valley of the Dolls" for me to get to have the entire Williams soundtrack collection...
That's awesome about GOODBYE, MR CHIPS! BTW, I think Williams did compose some of the source music on that set.
The score by JW to Goodbye Mr Chips sounds 100% Williams, more often than not. It's essential to your collection as a John Williams fan. You're gonna love it.
Henry, you must have quite the disposable income on hand there mate
