I was there and oh man was it AMAZING. I can't wait for the DVD/2CD Set. I recommend for anyone who did not get to go that you pick this one up. I'm just sad I'll have to wait till November to get it.
This was a fabulous event and I'm not even that much of a Zimmer fan. I just hate passing up the opportunity to see a film music concert live. His music is extremely accessible and he engages the audience very well. The love that filled Radio City Music Hall was palpable - and the hall was PACKED. The audience raised the roof as if this were a pop music concert.
Honestly, you don't have to like the music to appreciate how awesome this felt. I agree with Mike S, just the idea that a film music concert could be greeted with such passion by young people is incredible. The lights were crazy, but it was a KISS worthy show.
Zimmer was bumped up a few notches to me. One of the best live music events I'e ever been to. You really can't get a good read off a video. Being there was special.
I was at one of the London shows in June and it was a great event. Zimmer certainly went up a few notches in my estimation. I'll definitely be picking up the DVD, also the download of the double album......
