..movies, TV shows, and video games refer to air tanks - as Oxygen tanks, or say things like you're running low on oxygen. It irks me.



Most recent culprit was Uncharted 4: A Thief's End. Immediately takes away from the experience for me knowing that it should be AIR TANK.

Or when people in movies call suppressors "silencers" (and use them on revolvers), or call magazines "clips."

Or when I watch Benedict Cumberbatch or any number of actors "play" the violin, knowing what hideous sounds would result if we could actually hear the result of their movements. (And for other instruments as well, most of the time.)

Whenever movies and TV mimic something I really know something about, I almost always find big mistakes. Makes me think that everything is always kinda wrong.
