The soundtrack for THE LEARNING TREE was issued on a Warner Bros. LP, but has not been re-released on CD. I don't believe that the O.C. Smith vocal heard over the main titles made it to the recording. (Smith was an artist on the Columbia label at the time.) The film's score was orchestrated and conducted by Tom McIntosh. In 1989, THE LEARNING TREE was one of the first twenty-five films selected for inclusion in the National Film Registry at the Library of Congress.
