MONDAY, MARCH 20

FARGO---new trailer released for Season 3.

Trailer link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lfWF_EmYNl4

ALIEN---Ridley Scott commented on the future of the ALIEN franchise and mentioned a new title, “There will be another one before we kind of literally and logically, clockwise, back into the rear back head of [the original] ALIEN. It will go PROMETHEUS---AWAKENING---COVENANT…fairly integral where this colonization ship is on the way…”
Katherine Waterston then stopped Scott from divulging more information, but he did add there might be a second ALIEN trilogy, “If this is successful, and then the next one, and then there will definitely be three more."
Scott also commented on Noomi Rapace returning in COVENANT, “Not fully, but in a way…She was integral to what David carried out later.” Waterston then again stopped Scott from releasing more information.

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2---director James Gunn commented on two mysterious characters in the sequel, "We do have a couple of characters who are very important to the Marvel Universe who are going to make their debut in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 which people don’t know about. Sylvester Stallone plays one of these characters…my friend Michael Rosenbaum (SMALLVILLE) also has a pretty decent role in the movie as well and it sort of works in tandem with Sly’s character.”

STAR WARS---Mark Hamill posted the first photo of him playing Luke Skywalker on the film set of the original STAR WARS in 1977.

THE MATRIX---writer Zak Penn denied rumors that he is writing a reboot of the original franchise, "All I can say at this point is no one could or should REBOOT ‘The Matrix. People who know ‘Animatrix’ and the comics understand. Can’t comment yet except to say that the words ‘reboot’ and ‘remake’ were from an article. Let’s stop responding to inaccurate news. Do I want to see more stories set in the universe of ‘The Matrix’? Yes. Because it’s a brilliant idea that generates great stories.”
A new rumor claims the new movie is a prequel spinoff about a young Morpheus with Michael B. Jordan in the role originally played by Laurence Fishburne.

COMING TO AMERICA 2---Eddie Murphy's Twitter account was hacked with a post claiming a sequel to his 1988 comedy movie is underway, and a photo of Princess Imani was also posted. The Twitter account was later closed, but sources claim Murphy really is writing a sequel.
Vanessa Bell Calloway, who played Imani, commented on the Twitter post, “I’m wondering if Eddie was hacked, though, wasn’t there some big thing about Twitter being hacked? Because you know, Eddie’s a very private person as we know, he’s a very kind man, but he’s very private and I really think that maybe it could’ve gotten hacked and that’s why it’s down because it’s not true, unfortunately. I mean, that’s something I thought. I don’t know for a fact, I haven’t talked to Eddie in years but I hope it is true. I hope I’m wrong. It would be a perfect sequel.”

THE BATMAN---Joe Manganiello said he doubts his character, Deathstroke, will be in the movie after rumors said the sequel's script is being totally rewritten.

THE SILENT CORNER---tv series underway based on the first of six Dean Koontz novels about FBI agent Jane Hawk. THE SILENT CORNER is about Hawk investigating a series of suicides by successful people and becoming a fugitive after the she discovers a cabal is behind the suicides.

A STAR IS BORN---Sam Elliott will play the manager of the characters played by Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga in the latest remake of the movie.

MULAN---director Nikki Caro said her remake of the 1998 Walt Disney Pictures animated movie might be more of a martial arts movie instead of a movie musical,"...the story [are] offering such scope to me for [an] incredible, muscular piece of girly martial arts extravaganza in China...From what I understand, no songs right now, much to the horror of my children.”

THE SPY WHO DUMPED ME---Mila Kunis and Kate McKinnon are in talks to star in this comedy spy movie about two best friends who are involved in an international conspiracy when they discover one of the women was dumped by a man who was really a spy.

CITY ON FIRE---movie underway described as, “follows the 1985 events in West Philadelphia when three city blocks were burned to the ground and destroyed 62 row houses, leaving 11 people dead and hundreds homeless. City on Fire tells the incendiary true story of the escalating conflict between the City of Philadelphia and the radical group MOVE, which led to an armed siege in a residential neighborhood and one of the most shocking decisions ever made by a City against its citizens.”

SHADES OF BLUE---NBC renewed the series for Season 3.

FROM THE CORNER OF THE OVAL---movie underway based on the book about a woman who gets a job as a White House stenographer during the Obama Administration.

The apparent success of B&TB will surely change that.

Wouldn't it be a better, or at least a more certain hit given our current culture, if the proposed comedy were called THE SPY WHO DUMPED ON ME?

You know, a spy who was like the guy that dated Woody Allen's sister in CRIMES AND MISDEMEANORS.

I'm perfectly cool with there being no songs. This is less of a fairy tale than the other Disney live-action movies. I doubt the songs would sound anything but weird in the context of this story. The people genuinely upset by this are high on member berries.

Ridley Scott would like everyone to understand that he is only making movies now for a paycheck

It would also help if this version also has no wisecracking dragon sidekicks. The three soldiers who were Mulan's friends in the army are all the comic relief the story needs.
