The thread title was changed to "delete" and Music Box deleted the announcement. Now the entire thread has been deleted.

WOW ! i ordered them on the first day ORCA was announced and i was not sure if my order was pending for THE ODD COUPLE or for ORCA !

Did anyone else ordered it and received from SAE ?

Anyway, all this mess about this cd is unreal and i'm sure it will be back soon for other collector.

ps. By the way, i'm still not sure about getting it even if SAE usually tell when something is missing !

Weird, those posts exist if you do a search, but when I click on them it just redirects me to the main General Discussion page.

That must have been some wicked lawyers' letter -- to force all mentions of the CD to be expunged from the record. This thread may not be long for the world.

Those who received the CD may want to shut up about it, lest you get a midnight knock at your door.

It might be Ennio wanting his CD back.

I wouldn't count on either. I mean, this is REALLY strange. Announcement, and then immediate withdrawal of the CD. No official mention, no position. I hope this works out for Music Box and I really hope this will be back in print and available, alas, it looks pretty bad for right now. Heck, even if it is just about 500 CDs (and I don't know how many of those are already "in the wild".)

This whole thing just smells worse.
Dont you just wonder that somewhere along the way a few people have lost sight of the fact that preserving this musical history digitally in best possible form is paramount, no matter who releases it. Somebody, somewhere, isnt being very pragmatic or accommodating or concilliatory.

Yeah, both threads just disappeared around 3:25 or so yesterday afternoon. I went out to do some laundry, and when I came back --- Poof!--- the two were as gone as the dirt on my clothes. Strange....

But until now no copies on platforms like Ebay, Amazon.....Remembers me the Transporter-Score by Azaria that has been withdrawn shortly after its release so that only a few copies came around.

Jenkwombat, I also happen to have visited the laundry yesterday afternoon! As a matter of fact, it seems things in general had to be cleaned up on that day. Censorship at its best, isn't it?!

A small anecdote regarding the LP: when I bought it a long time ago, it was signed by the Maestro already. However, he also put an arrow in front of the song and wrote: "Non sono risponsibile" and signed a second time beneath that remark. This said, I don't think this song alone might have caused the withdrawal of the CD.

The Orca Topic (1973) is a great Robert Ludlum thriller.
