That would be awesome. If they found the masters session from LEVIATHAN _ I would welcome that. Lets hope for another Goldsmith Title in the batch besides Williams STANLEY AND IRIS

I'm thinking Conti's PRIVATE BENJAMIN might be in this batch! Well I'm hoping.

The Twilight Time Blu Ray release of EYE OF THE NEEDLE had a 3-channel isolated score track of Miklos Rozsa’s music. Since VS released a separate recording of this score, made in Germany, at the time of the film’s release, this other recording that was heard in the Blu Ray’s isolated score track, which was made in England, would be a worthy CD release.

Also...
We haven’t seen an Elliot Goldenthal on a VS Club release. How about SPHERE.

All the suggestions so far are great, especially Eye of the Needle (film recording is far superior to the album rerecording) and Sphere. And of course I want them to go back to expanding Goldsmith. smile Personally I actually like the Randy Newman AFO so I hope it would be included on the second disc since the Goldsmith/McNeely score doesn't fit on a single one.

Sphere would be great but considering the feud between Warner Bros and Goldenthal I wonder if we'll ever see it expanded (same for Demolition Man).

Anyway, looking forward to this batch. Hope it"ll include some 90's Goldsmith (fingers crossed for either Small Soldiers or The Haunting)

Reissues of MACARTHUR and RAGGEDY MAN would be instantish purchases as they're top of my short wants-list, to fill those two gaps on the shelf. If they don't come.... well, I've managed thus far and I'm sure I shall still manage.

We'll see if this batch will include any Golden or Silver Age goodies. I doubt...

But after the Hefti double bill anything's possible smile

2017 = 70th anniversary of the original theatrical release of Ghost & Mrs Muir.
Hope lives for a separate release (for those who missed the BH box)!

Beyond all the amazing treasures in the VS vaults, I would also love an expanded edition of
Silvestri's Mousehunt (20th anniversay)
Goldsmith's Air Force One (20th anniversary)
Goldsmith's Lionheart (30th anniversary)
and so on!

I have a crazy fan-boy theory about Elfman's Dolores Claiborne!

Yes, you WANT to read it! razz

-VS used tulips to promote the next batch.
(sorry for the size of this picture)

-As you may know, Elfman has scored a movie called Tulip Fever (the CD has just been released on CD in Europe -- wondrous score).

-So I'm dreaming it's a kind of hazard meaning they's working on Dolores Claiborne expanded edition!
LOL

I am thinking the same way as you. Perhaps the "old" Varese is back bigtime. Not an expansion, but a premiere release of a Golden or Silver Age score.

[crankyoldman]These VCL threads are always filled with hopes for reissues of stuff Varese has already released in some form. While I appreciate that--especially where RUDY is involved--what are some possibilities that Varese hasn't touched before?[/crankyoldman]
