Why is 100' Kong just as big as 148' Kong?

148 is standing straight; 100 is crouching and basically comes up to 148's eyes.

Looking at the trailers, the new Kong seems more manlike than the 2005 version, that Kong had apelike dimensions, naturally on all fours, this one is more of a man in an ape suit shape, quite right, after all, Kong isn't a Gorilla, he's a mythical creature that looks Gorilla like.

Exactly! That's my biggest beef with Jackson's KK.

I agree that Kong shouldnt look like your average Gorilla, but for the sake of realism, not something magical or mythic. For example, a giant would need short stubby legs to support a huge body, but I think both Kongs had that trait. If you're talking about the face and fangs, Obie's version seemed to be inconsistent, so they both have their pros and cons. Or maybe you're criticizing the arms? Whatever.
If Kong was mythical, then they would make him look like a typical gorilla, only bigger. And Zeus would be throwing lightning bolts at T-Rexes.

I really like the look of the new Kong. In fact I was digging all the previews and trailers until I saw those silly alien lizard creatures. It's just over kill now. Hopefully it's still a good popcorn flick.

I like almost all the Kong movies, and love the 2005 a lot, but the trailers I've seen for this new one are so repellent, I won't consider seeing it unless people are raving about it, and raving for reasons I think I'd like. And so far, the more I learn about this new Kong, the more I think I'd hate it.

So there you have it. Two very opposing views! I'll say this, I loved, LOVED, the trailers for the 2014 Godzilla movie and couldn't been more disappointed by the actual film. So who knows? But for now I'm staying positive.

Eh - take from that what you want..

Wall Street, Batman Begins, Basic Instinct, The Passion of the Christ...

Some critically acclaimed films have also received Razzies. It's opinion. You don't like BvS. I do. Doesn't make either of us right or wrong.

But I'd hardly hold up the Razzies as absolute proof that something sucked.

Well, one thing you can tell, looking at this image from the movie...

He's no King Dong.

Gorillas have smaller, less noticeable penises compared to other apes. They have different social and mating dynamics than, say, chimps or us. Don't need to compete with other boys or impress anyone as much.

Since King Kong is not supposed to be a real gorilla, your reply is adorable.
