Another score was released by composer/musician Cristobal Tapia de Veer, to last year's UK drama National Treasure starring Robbie Coltrane. The score was released on iTunes on February 14th.
Honestly, de Veer's music typically defies description, most recently evidenced by The Girl with All the Gifts, so I won't try here -- I'm just passing along the word to those interested because I wasn't even aware of it until I stumbled upon it today.
Unknown by me if de Veer returned for Season 2 of AMC's Humans -- IMDb lists him as composer of 8 episodes in 2015 (Season 1) and an individual named Sarah Warne as composer of 8 episodes in 2016 (Season 2). Presumably, and sadly...he didn't return...
Wonderful find, Deputy. Listening now on Spotify. This is excellent music, a wonderful blend of elements from avant-garde to jazz but genuinely listenable. Thanks so much for posting.
You got it, Sean. You're exactly the reason I posted this, generally speaking. It sucks when things are released and you don't even realize it because it's not broadcast widely/publically. Meanwhile this awesome music that you'd love to hear and have been waiting for (and maybe didn't even know was getting a release!) is just sitting there waiting for you, gathering dust for who knows how long.
There needs to be a general, comprehensive, all-inclusive film/tv/game score release schedule newsletter so that things like this don't slip under the radar -- fans don't miss out on releases they would love, and artists don't miss out on reaching their fans, simply because of lack of communication.

That would be great, but I suspect this is the only way it will ever happen - with us true believers posting stuff we find out about in our various ways. And thank heavens there is this board here so that it will happen (I've done it a handful of times myself with music that didn't seem to be talked about here).
Best reason for checking this board every day (cause sometimes these things fade fast).

I post about new releases on Twitter regularly and collect them together at the end of the week in a Twitter Moment. Here's my post on this last week's new releases, for example:
Viewed on desktop or on the mobile Twitter app you can hear samples of each score or click to listen in full on Spotify. On the desktop and newer versions of the Twitter app you can also go to my profile and click on "Moments" to find weekly collections of releases going back to last December when I started doing this.
I posted about National Treasure the day it came out, so no dust

I've loved everything I've heard of Tapia de Veer (the brilliant UTOPIA series being the highlight). So offbeat, yet somehow organic in its merging of popular and avantgarde elements. So I'm looking forward to hearing this.
Humans Season 1 is by far and away the best thing I've heard from him. So sad to hear that he's no returning for Season 2. His sound very much defined the show in the first season and it very much captured my attention. I suppose at least one season is better than one, hopefully one day a second volume will be released -- although considering it's AMC, perhaps not.
HUMANS is great too, but it doesn't hold a candle to UTOPIA, IMO. I think Sarah Warne is incorporating some of Tapia de Veer's material in season 2; at least that's what I remember from seeing the show.
