HAN SOLO---photo released shows the young Han Solo movie cast of Alden Ehrenreich, Emilia Clarke, Woody Harrelson, Donald Glover, Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Joonas Suotama in the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon. Suotama recently confirmed he will replace Peter Mayhew as Chewbacca.
GODZILLA: KING OF MONSTERS---Kyle Chandler (Peter Jackson's KING KONG, FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS) will play the father of Millie Bobby Brown (STRANGER THINGS) in the sequel. Ken Watanabe is returning from the 2014 reboot movie.
THE PREDATOR---Alfie Allen (GAME OF THRONES) will play an ex-Marine in the reboot movie.
THE IRISHMAN---Robert De Niro stars in this Martin Scorsese/Netflix biomovie about mob hitman Frank "The Irishman" Sheeran who confessed to murdering Jimmy Hoffa. Al Pacino is in negotiations to co-star.
THE SPY WHO LOVED---Angelina Jolie is attached to star in this movie based on the biography THE SPY WHO LOVED: THE SECRETS AND LOVES OF CHRISTINE GRANVILLE. Granville was one of England's top spies in World War II and parachuted into France to save her lover from a Gestapo firing squad. She was the inspiration for Vesper Lynd in Ian Fleming's CASINO ROYALE.
Jolie is also attached to star in the movie based on the biography CATHERINE THE GREAT AND POTEMKIN: THE IMPERIAL LOVE AFFAIR.
CAPTIVE STATE---John Goodman, Vera Farmiga and Madeline Brewer star in this sci fi movie about a Chicago family ten years after an alien invasion of Earth. Rupert Wyatt (RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES) is the co-writer/director.
VAN HELSING---Dan Mazean (WRATH OF THE TITANS) will rewrite the reboot movie's script.
MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER 3000---the Kickstarter-funded revival series will premiere on Netflix on April 14.

THE LORD OF THE RINGS---Uma Thurman expressed regret in turning down the role of Eowyn that then went to Miranda Otto, “Yes. It was a very long time ago, and I do consider it one of the worst decisions ever made. But I had just had my first child, and I just – I don’t know, I was a little housebound… It’s really definitely a regret.”
BEHIND ENEMY LINES---Marge Helgenberger (CSI) will play a Navy admiral in the Fox pilot inspired by the 2001 movie that starred Owen Wilson and Gene Hackman. The pilot is described as, “a multiple-perspective narrative that closely follows our soldiers on the ground and the officers and service men and women on a nearby aircraft carrier, along with intelligence officers in D.C. as they attempt to bring our heroes home safely and under the radar.”
RAY DONOVAN---C. Thomas Howell will have a recurring role as Donovan's court-appointed therapist, Dr. Brogan.
JEEPERS CREEPERS 3---Gina Phillips returns for the sequel to protect her son from the Creeper. Brandon Stacy (THE BIG SHORT) will play the deputy who helps her stop the Creeper.
STEP BROTHERS---Will Ferrell commented on a possible sequel, "...as of now there are no plans. We just don’t want to be doing sequels of everything.”

Can't believe Angelina Jolie will be capable of making these announced projects. She's been having some major health issues lately.
Alden Ehrenreich looks pleased as punch in that photo, and he should; he's a good actor and deserves the success.
So, what's the photo from GOT mean here, with no descriptive discussion?
Glad Uma Thurman was not Eowyn; Miranda Otto did a magnificent job.
And Harrison Ford needs to have his flying license revoked.

I saw this news elsewhere, but, initially skipped it. Now that I've seen and heard it from your post, Sol, it has introduced a new perspective.
Ford was genuinely confused when he misidentified his aircraft type as a helicopter while he was in an overhead wing, single engine aircraft. Not only that, but the runway identification markings are visible from the lower angle seen by the camera viewpoint taking in the proceedings. The Boeing 737 we can see was moving towards the short runway (20L by the look of it, where Ford was cleared to land) before crossing it to line up and begin its takeoff roll on the longer parallel runway 20R. In fact, you can see there was a B737 already lined up on 20R throughout the episode. One would have thought it would hold short of both runways to allow an aircraft on finals to land before moving at all! Shouldn't the Boeing, therefore, have been stopped to allow Ford's plane to land? You never allow a second aircraft to get onto a runway until the first has landed so that they are both clear of any obvious danger.
He definitely missed a few steps and should not have failed to see those clear runway markings from his elevation on final approach to the runway. From his perspective, the runway would have looked too far to his right. He could have made the required correction at the last minute by a coordinated turn to the right, or simply gone around for another landing attempt, but the record has him landing on the taxiway. He must have been checked out in a hospital by now.
Edit: I've updated this post several times. Let me explain. After my initial post I used Flight Simulator 10 (FSX) to check out the runway layouts at the John Wayne airport. This dated sim clearly indicates the threshold numbers as 1L, 1R, 19L and 19R, however, I double checked everything and noticed that the runway number designations at the airport today are not the same. This picture clearly shows the old runway numbers at the airport. Even a seemingly clear cut situation as that reported needs to be carefully checked out. The only reason I can see for changing the runway number designations over time is the drift in earth's magnetic field lines, giving rise to magnetic variation.
