A strange film and an even stranger score. The score is an odd blend of Western and Eastern music styles featuring guitar (on at least one occasion played by Eric Clapton), honky-tonk piano, sitar, etc. The soundtrack also reportedly features Peter Tork. I like it, but it had to grow on me. It is very weird. If you're interested in the CD, it should be easily and cheaply available now, as it was re-issued by Apple a few years back, in much better sound. The first issue of the CD from the early 1990s used to sell for about $75 after it went Out of Print. The film itself deals with a recluse who peers at a beautiful woman (Jane Birkin) through a hole in his wall, if I recall. ADDED: The soundtrack is going to be re-issued on vinyl soon, along the rest of George Harrison's Apple albums.
